The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in its monetary policy dated December 05, 2018 has provided for creation of a separate Ombudsman for digital payments. On January 31, 2019, the RBI has launched the Ombudsman Scheme for Digital Transactions (OSDT). The OSDT scheme can be utilised for redressal of complaints against system participants for deficiency in services relating to digital transactions.
